Station Piece

‘From the Waste Down’ is a work-in-progress film. Drawing on slow cinema and the writings of architect Bernard Tschumi, the film transgresses the function of the platform as the space for a seamless circulation of bodies which slip across it. Long takes and an abject felt suit explore feelings of tension and relief that frame time and interactions.  Like repoussage, both body and blazer are physically relieved from the (social, temporal and literal) uniformity of the platform’s flat plane.
